Living a Christ-Centered Life
The Lord wants for us to live a life where it is primarily centered upon Him. We call this, living a Christ-Centered life. It's the type of life that grants victory, effectiveness and balance among many, many other things. David states in Psalms 24:1 that the Earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. I'm sure you have heard many say "The Earth is the Lord's and He is the Lord of all" they are stating what David said. However not only is He the Lord of all but He should be the Lord in all that we do.
God has to be in control, whether we like it or not, whether it is easy or difficult it is the only way that we can live a life worthy of the Gospel and pleasing Him period.
Why should Christ be the center?
John 13: 13-He is the ultimate Teacher
1 Corinthians 7:23- You were bought at a price, Christ desires ownership of your life especially since he paid a very pretty penny to save you and rip you away from the enemy it was a legally spiritual transaction. The most respected and well-known transactions of all time. You should feel special I know I do. "Thank You Father"
Hebrews 13:8 He never changes. Which means that though we reject Him He will always want you!
Reflection/ Journal Time: What are some things that you have allowed to be the center of your life and attention? Write them down, be honest with yourself and don't be ashamed to list them. The Lord already knows what they are He just needs you to acknowledge that they exist in your life and have become a wedge between the level of intimacy that you should have with Him.
